The fund is a "fund of funds," meaning that it seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in mutual funds managed by New York Life Investments. It seeks to achieve its investment objective by normally investing approximately 10% (within a range of 0% to 20%) of its assets in underlying fixed-income funds and approximately 90% (within a range of 80% to 100%) of its assets in underlying equity funds.
