Summary

The investment seeks to provide high current income while preserving capital. The fund primarily invests in a diversified portfolio of investment grade securities such as U.S. government securities, corporate bonds, asset-backed securities and mortgage-backed securities. The dollar-weighted average maturity of its portfolio is normally expected to be less than 18 months, but may vary outside that range from time to time, including due to market conditions or if deemed appropriate for temporary defensive purposes. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of the fund's net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes will be invested in debt securities.
