Fund Holdings

The fund looks to invest in dividend-producing companies with proven reputations. According to its semiannual report at the end of April 2009, "Capital Income Builder seeks to increase its dividend regularly, but the extraordinary events of the past year have provided a formidable challenge to that goal, as many dividend-paying companies cut—or even did away with—dividends altogether.
