The investment seeks total return. The fund invests primarily (long only) directly in fixed income securities issued by U.S. and foreign (non-U.S. and non-emerging markets) companies and governments. Under normal market conditions, it invests at least 80% of its assets (defined as net assets plus any borrowing for investment purposes) in fixed income securities, which it defines as including domestic and foreign treasury bills, notes, commercial paper, corporate and government debt and other forms of indebtedness.
