Summary

The investment seeks to maximize current income, consistent with the protection of principal. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowing for investment purposes) in non-U.S. dollar-denominated fixed income instruments. Foreign currency exposure normally will be limited to 30% of the fund's total assets. Up to 15% of the fund's total assets may be invested in fixed income securities of issuers located in emerging markets countries. The fund invests primarily in investment grade debt securities, but may invest up to 15% of its total assets in non-investment grade securities. It is non-diversified.
