The investment seeks current income and capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in fixed income securities of non-U.S. companies located in Europe and the Pacific Rim. The securities in which the fund invests may pay interest at fixed rates, variable rates, or subject to reset terms. In addition, these securities may make principal payments that are fixed, variable or both. There is no limit on the maturity of any security held by the fund.
