The investment seeks a high level of current income. Normally, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of borrowings, if any, for investment purposes) in debt securities of issuers located throughout the world, including corporate and government issuers. For purposes of satisfying the 80% requirement, it also may invest in derivative instruments that have economic characteristics similar to such debt securities.
