The investment seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation and current income. The Global Fund invests primarily in U.S. and foreign equity securities (including common and preferred stock and securities convertible into common stock) and in debt securities. Its investments may include issuers of any market capitalization. Although the fund can invest in companies from any country, it generally focuses on established companies in countries with developed economies. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 40% of its net assets in the securities of, and depositary receipts represented by, foreign issuers.
