Summary
The investment seeks income with long-term growth of capital as a secondary objective. The fund intends to achieve its investment objective through buying a portfolio of high dividend paying common stocks of U.S. and non-U.S. companies and other equity securities like preferred and convertible stocks and then actively hedging the fund's equity exposure with options. It expects normally to invest at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities (including securities convertible into equity securities) of U.S. and non-U.S. companies that pay attractive dividends or that the fund's advisor believes have the potential to increase dividends over time.
