The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests in a diversified portfolio consisting primarily of global (U.S. and foreign) equity securities of any size. It normally will invest at least 40% of its assets in the securities of foreign issuers. The fund may invest up to 20% of assets in bonds of any maturity rated as low as CC by Standard & Poor's Corporation (S&P) or Ca by Moody's Investors Service, Inc. (Moody's) and their unrated equivalents (bonds rated BB and below by S&P or Ba and below by Moody's are considered junk bonds).
