How do I truly find the free courses. Many web sites state free however I find this not to be true

Seniors on SS retirement should be able to attend calsses at any public college and earn credits. AARP should push for this in each State. This is something that would really be meaningful and help retirees. Colleges charge a lot of money and most of us have paid for ourselves and our children and grandchildren to attend colleges.....as a senior on a fixed income, this benefit should be afforded to any senior citizen at public colleges in EVERY STATE.

I'm sixty-seven and graduated recently from college with a grade point average of 3.24 and would like to get a Bachelors degree for free. How would I accomplish

this? I still owe the first college and if the current financial conditions exist I see no way of doing this.

I'm 59 yrs old... having to "re-tool" as the bank failures had financially destroyed me. After taking all pre-requisits for a nursing degree (BSN), my second degree, on student loans, I am now in debt $22K. I found that even though I was accepted at UMSL's accellerated BSN program, I could not afford to go. Learning that there may be a way to get funding is a ray of hope. Thank you to those providing this information.

I'm 65 this year and enrolled. I'm having lots of fun. My Perspectives class is addressing topics that interest this generation. My views are respected and I respect their views. Computer science is my chosen major. My age and experience are a benefit for me. sometimes they are a hurdle. I only pay for books. So far I've been able to get the classes I choose though I cannot participate in early registration. I started with four classes. I did OK,( one A, three B's), but I suggest starting with a smaller course load and easing into it. I will probably limit myself to two classes from now on. That will be easier on my social life, (smile). My Honey, kids, and grand kids, are motivated to keep up.
