When I went to stock broker training, we were advised we should stay out of mutual funds...a scam...REASON: Fund managers can drain off as much profits as they want and attribute that to "expenses" and "costs"..... there is no one to answer to, there is no law or directive re this action....managaers are like kids in candy store and you are paying the bill.

Remenber Polaris fund one through Four: Presented by Prudential Securities at $10,000 each funds. A Real Scam....Eversince I never invested a dime in mutual funds. Its den of thieves. Prudential did such a good job for fund managers thru misrepresentations! They even survived the litigations arising from investors Law suits. They did such a good job that Wachovia Bank thought these are there type of boys, therefore jumped and purchased Prudential...I never received a dime of my investment.

Since the beginning of the markets people have said many times, Wall Street makes money from you, not for you. Yet, people continue to put their faith in these people and fall victim to their foolish devices which earn the brokers big rewards. Put your money in indexed funds at Vanguard, TIAA-CREFF, or elsewhere where low cost index funds are available and forget about the glitz and promises of Wall Street. You will do just fine over your lifetime, spending very little for the management of your funds and reaping what the market gives you for a fraction of the cost of the "poor advice" you are receiving now.

I have pulled the remaining investments I have in an attempt to limit further losses, after loosing over $25M since 9/11/2001. I do not trust the integrity or intentions of any fund managers and am re-investing in real estate only.

The American Heritage Fund was liquidated last year.

After making a $2,500 initial investment in the mid 90's, I got about $45 back last year.
