From San Francisco Bay to Ambergris Caye

Your input has been helpful,..I'm a single mother of five,..now, grown children. I have a modest home in upstate N.Y.,..and could sell just to be rid of the cold winters and snow. No retirement , as I have fallen on the same hard times as many others. But, the proceeds from selling my home would be over 100,000. I don't speak any other language ,other than English ,..and have been involved in healthcare of the elderly for my last years of employment o current. Like warm year round climate, but not high humidity,...love the ocean, but can't swim and wold like a place not too touristy,..but close to shops if necessary,...quiet, low crime,..ocean views,..sandy beaches, cool breeze,...first floor flat, or the like,..possibly garden spot and privacy,..not isolated...help! Where should I start? Any thoughts? Kate
