EBay Wins a Business Award

Dear Kimberly,

Would you be so gracious as to list some kind of contact information of those whom were responsible for the very consideration and nomination of the Business Award that Ebay was granted? Many many groups and individuals have tried in vain to find out from the various Better Business Bureau 's in each state up to indivudual searches.

There seems to be a majority of people whom disagree with Ebay even being considered for this award -and would like to respectfully correspond to those who choose Ebay as one of the winners (even though it was prior to the Boycott). We would rationally like to appeal to the proper parties with proper documentation -with hopes that they Award comitteee withdraw their award to Ebay for proper , unethical and substancially significant issues and points to show they Ebay is anything but an embarrassment to such a prestigious award of that caliaber.

Would you kindly let us know whom we may contact to appeal to have such an honoring award withdrawn from Ebay for countless reasons which need to be brought to the attention of the award committee- or either have the Better Business Bureau take back their "BUSINESS AWARD" from ebay inc. as soon as possible.

I speak not only on behalf on many many people from the East Coast to the West Coast of the USA- but there are numerous parties in other countries -such as Australia who feel the same way.

Ebay is in no way deserving ,entitled or in any way a comparison to the other winners who so gratefully earned their awards .

Respectfully.

Kathleen

been a member for 4 yrs sold and bought over 3000 items, and this is the worst year I have ever seen, so for them to get an award is nuts for anything, every other poster prior i agree with, and i just reported a listing 2 days ago, its still on!!! and we are all paying for the errors EBAY allows to happen, as you've read previously we are ALL asked to report bad sellers, ect... we do and NOTHING HAPPENS, Just that time in my life I could have enjoyed with my family, We the sellers who treat the community with integrity should get the award, heres the listings I reported, 300217122921, and some of their others, 199.00 handling fee for a 10.00 shipping price??? that weighs 3 oz? .....yet they still sell on ebay, NO INTEGRITY, also 20,000 new wedding dresses from china and only 9,000 form U.S.? on ebay U.S. i can go on and on, but i will be calling the bbb and letting them know they dont deserve it, and I really hope others do as well. peace.....

The torch will come in handy at ebay live to warm the tar for the feathers... Maybe we should ask the powers to be at ebay to bring it.... LOL!

They have integrity I think we can TRUST them to bring it.....

ROTFL!!! This is incredible! What next???

Hey BBB maybe next year you might think about giving Chavez and Citgo an award!

Terry of FL 10:09PM April 11, 2008

"integrity in the marketplace" and "advancing trust between businesses and consumers"

What in the world were these people smoking????? Integrity??? Advancing Trust????

This is a joke right?

Not words I would ever use in the same sentence as ebay. Give me a break!

When my business was offered recognition from the BBB, if I would become a member and pay dues to them, I think I filed it in the trash... The only thing it is good for is a little plaque they give you to hang on the wall that makes one feel important, otherwise, they have no authority to do anything...

It amazes me what is considered newsworthy... To me, it's more newsworthy to look into the fake listings that ebay did during February and which continues today so that their stock holders believe that they are doing good... The buying and selling of insider stocks at the most opportune times, the forced usury through their own paypal system, and the list goes on...

And more newsworthy than that, is the fact that an even larger boycott is scheduled for May 1st, 2008, where thousands of both buyers and sellers will stop using ebay... This company has gotten away with too much for too long... The monopoly needs to stop!!

Sure sounds like they bought the award at their own 1c listing sale!

Boycott Victoriously … While Making Noise!

Evacuate by May 1, 2008!

Yes, the award title is fitting, in a way. Nobody has done more to torch integrity and trust in the online marketplace than the eBay over the last several years.

My guess is very few of the BBB management ever try to sell there....

Uuuurp! This award to eBay is a complete crock. Of course, dues-paying BBB members have to receive something from their pay-in. After a recent buy.com rebate ripoff where the BBB swept complaints under the rug, then gave each a positive resolution check, I do not trust what the BBB has to say as they've impugned their integrity long ago.

In fact, eBay has done more to make buyers and sellers distrust the online marketplace due to unchecked incubation of fraud, and the definition of the worst customer service in the world, with unrelated boilerplate responses. True, feedback as conceived by eBay's founder was revolutionary. But that feedback concept has long been pushed aside by eBay in favor of revenue maximization.

How much did eBay pay the BBB for this award?

I say that because they surely bought it. There is NO WAY they EARNED it.

This company has less integrity than any I've ever encountered. They have no respect for its customers, the insults have been going on for some time and just never stop.

They encourage scammers, punish hard-working small sellers, care about nothing but the fees they rake in.

They have made a mockery of their own community values:

The eBay Community is guided by the following five fundamental values:

* We believe people are basically good -- but we prefer to act as

if all sellers are untrustworthy and vengeful. But we say stuff like that

because it makes it us sound understanding and wise, even though we don't

believe it ourselves. We really think you are noisy fleas and we wish you

would leave.

* We believe everyone has something to contribute -- and the more

YOU contribute, the richer WE get. So we're going to make sure you give

till it hurts.

* We believe that an honest, open environment can bring out the

best in people -- but a closed, deceitful environment makes it easier for us

to control people. So we will hide bidder ID's and force sellers to only

leave happy positives for their buyers. It might bring out the worst in

some people, but we will get bragging rights for making this a nicer place

for deadbeats and chargeback scammers, as well as shill-bidding sellers.

* We recognize and respect everyone as a unique individual --

which is why you all have a unique ID. Oh, and that respect thing? Well,

we're just kidding about that to make you feel special. We know you're just

a bunch of bleating sheep that will make a racket for awhile but will fall

back in line and trot back into the corral because you're afraid to go

anywhere else.

* We encourage you to treat others the way you want to be

treated -- well, we want sellers to treat buyers that way. Buyers can be as

nasty as they like now. We, on the other hand, will treat YOU anyway we

want, because we are eBay and you are stuck with us because we say so.

eBay is firmly committed to these principles. And we believe that community

members should also honor them-whether buying, selling, or chatting with

eBay friends. -- But since we, the managers of eBay are not "community

members" we reserve the right to treat our customers like scum that should

be scraped off our shoes because, hey, we're in charge here and if you don't

like it you can just leave.

So I think I will . . . .

BOYCOTT VICTORIOUSLY . . . until they get IT.

All I can say is WOW!! I guess the BBB has consumed WAY TOO MUCH of the feeBay "kool-aid" being served these days!! This is UNBELIEVABLE & OUTRAGEOUS to say the least!! Open your blinds people!!
