Wow, that sounds potentially dangerous, Jim. But perhaps necessary... do you ever hurt the product inside? I often scratch whatever I'm trying to get at with just scissors, let alone anything electrically powered.

I use a power band saw to open those packages.

Not a solution for everyone, though.
