I like tradition ,been good enough for so many years .wine is some thing to be enjoyed and reflect on the present and past. Not rushed up because one doe"nt want to take the time to remove the cork.

Switch to Whiskey.

It's faster and takes less to get where you're going.

Add Coke if it's too harsh.

Vinesse basically charges close to $20.00 per bottle (Freight included) for a $8.00 bottle of wine. Check out any Wine Superstore and save 60%.

Please stop using that garbage in wine bottles!!!

Wine is not Coke.

Keep it unique.

I dont find a tainted bottle in more than 2 years, sign of improvement in quality.

Cheers

There are so many choices for wine drinkers right now and they only lead to better places. Yes, one can certainly pay less and find drinkable wines. Or even better savy shoppers will find many special prices for wines that have been slow to sell and are now on sale.

Or consumers can skip a latte a couple of times a week and continue to enjoy the caliber of wines they drinking.

Exploring new regions will lead to wonderfull options too. My favorite is New Zealand.

Great idea, Kimberly. I agree, that even during tough times, you have to do something to enjoy life. Budgeting doesn't have to be painful, as long as you account for a little bit of fun in your monthly plan.

In reference to cheap (but good) wine, I've heard a lot about Trader Joe's "Two Buck Chuck". Also, there seems to be a new buzz around boxed wine that's actually drinkable.

Google it. Basically, fermented crushed fruit, water & sugar and time is all it takes.

There is some evidence that consumers on the whole are beginning to pull away from the higher priced wines and retreating some into the $15 and under segment. This is beginning to interrupt a trend in 'trading up' to more expensive wines that has been going on for around a decade.

For instance, at Vinesse wine clubs, we have programs where you can get home delivery of wine for under $10/bottle including shipping when you order in volume. http://www.vinesse.com Plus, when the wine comes with a guarantee, you can get your $ back if you don't enjoy a wine.

As for the debate about screw caps, well, there's just something to popping a cork isn't there?!
