to swear off credit cards and go with a cash system anyway.

I closed mine (all 2 of them) last year and have been paying them off. Once done, I will finish saving up a fat cash emergency fund. End of the credit card story and good riddance.

Bank of America is ckllosing credit linwes that go with Checking accounts. They closed mine that I have had for forty five years. I was never late in a apyment and always paid more. In face my payments were made ten days before the due dates and automatically taken out of my checking acoount. The reason that I was delinquent on another account. I have filed a complaint with that account withthe Attorney General because of unfair practices. I told B of america that but they would not reopen my line. I'm a retired employee of theirs too. Great huh?

I've already noticed that credit card offers that used to deluge my mail box are almost non-existent now. My credit card company (the one I use) also reduced my credit limit to basically what I owe -- no big deal since I've vowed off credit cards, unless I have an emergency car repair, etc.
