If people knew what crises was going to manifest itself, preparing would be unnecessary because they would know to avoid them in the first place. By definition, a crisis is an unexpected happening.

Trying to prepare for anything that could possibly--or impossibly--happen is called paranoia.

Preparing for the most common or most likely is common sense dealing with the known.
