If you filed your taxes in time for today's deadline, now is the time to celebrate, and retailers want to help you do it. Here are a few of the stores that are giving away free food today; if you know of others, please share below.
- Taco Del Mar: For your free taco, visit the chain's website and give them your E-mail address. They'll send you the coupon right away.
- Cinnabon: From 5pm to 8pm, mall-based Cinnabons will give away free "bites," or tiny cinnamon rolls that may just leave you wanting more.
- MaggieMoo's: The ice cream shop is giving away a free scoop of ice cream.
- P.F. Chang's China Bistro: High-end Chinese cuisine will be a little more affordable today; the chain is knocking 15 percent off final bills.
Also, there is a rumor going around that Dunkin' Donuts is giving away free coffee or free donuts today, but my coworker visited a local store and could find no sign of such a giveaway. (She ended up paying full price.) If you have been to a Dunkin' Donuts today and found free coffee or donuts, please share your intel.
