Skype is one of the best, but when you have conference calls or long-distance phone calls it can cut off. MediaRing is probably the best in terms of quality, GoogleTalk is the worst.

MediaringTalk really have a good voice quality even though it provides free PC-to-Phone for 8 destination.

MediaringTalk is a good money saving choice when you want to make international calls. Its rates are very competitive than skype.

I usually calls to India and for that MediaringTalk offers just 1.7c/min

(Skype offers 10.6c/min to India)

Have been using MediarinTalk for last 2 years and no issue till now.

We have used RingCentral for about a year at work and they have been really good. Good price too.

I've been using PhonePower for 2 years now. They are cheap and great!

Great article. I find I'm using VoIP more and more for my business and personal communications. Your article does a nice job of covering the different options, and included some nice ones I hadn't heard of before.

Thanks!
