Great Article profiling Tim and The Four Hour Work Week. I read Tim's book 2 years ago and it has continued to feed my thinking today. There are alot of great tools and concepts in his book, but the trick is in actually implementing them. No small task. Tim is proof to all of us that it can be done and he is living the dream. I would love to see a new book by Tim with case studies of individuals who have implemented his plan successfully and created similar lifestyles. Thanks to Tim, I will never again think like an employee. I was ultimately inspired to start my own website (www.simple-motivation.com) in part, due to Tim and his ideas. I look forward to Tim's next book.

Even if all Tim does is get you thinking about how you might change your life for the better, I feel he has succeeded. Very few people with whom we interact daily make us feel this way. I hope one day to reach out and have the positive influence that Tim is having on the world. I am starting by designing my own lifestyle first. My life couldn't be better but that won't stop me from trying to improve it! Good luck to everyone out there going after their dreams.

Though we were already living abroad (while holding jobs in the US) when Tim's book came out, it helped us a lot and a must-read for anyone who expects to have a job in the next 15 years. The old way of working is going away very quickly and most workers will be required to have the flexibility that Tim's book teaches.

In addition to the 4HWW, I recommend The New Global Student by Maya Frost (my wife) which was published two weeks ago by Crown (same publisher as 4HWW). The New Global Student does for education what the 4HWW does for work. Many of the same principles are shared between the two. http://www.NewGlobalStudent.com.

I've read the book, visited his site, and follow him on twitter. He's got great advice as well as the "attitude" so-to-speak that says he's a relaxed easy-going guy. He doesn't pummel me with ad offers 40x a day on twitter either, making it worthwhile to read his updates.

The ideas presented in his book helped propel me forward into changing the way I go about my life. While my current job can never be done from home, it was part time and I've made it so rather than working 6 days a week 4 hours a day (it's annoying when your there every day and can't even finish the work) I now work with at least 2 days off (usually 3) and longer shifts when I do work. This allows me so much more freedom between shifts and lets me prepare for days in advance when I do work, so I"m never rushed at work anymore.

One day I'll live the life, but baby steps are always good in this economy ;)

Hello,

I have read the book. I usually visite his site every week.

I am following him on Twitter. He brings very positive values to my personal life.

I can implement some of his suggestions, technics however I have a difficulties as well. My observation is that very difficult to translate his methodology who has family.

Anyway, I follow him because his suggestions to improve efficiency are Excellent!

I recommend to read his book.

There's no doubt about it that every job can't be packaged for take-home productivity. @veronica, chances are that someone who became a doctor wasn't looking for a minimalist career. However, I wouldn't say that it's omitted from all of the "lifestyle designs" Tim suggests. Tim's book might also enable someone looking to leave the medical scene that might otherwise resume working at a job they don't like.

There are a LOT of smart, effective methods he provides. His plans on email and voicemail management alone make this a solid buy.

If ever you've felt flustered because there's too much to do, it's worth reading.
