That's quite an insightful statement!
Who did that? Individuals in society, or corporations with marketing amplified by electronic technology?

That is a good point, I bet we are really influenced by the ages of our parents. In general, Gen Y are people in their late teens to late 20s right now. (at 29, I just barely make the cut.)

I'm not sure exactly what constitutes Generation Y. Are there certain years of birth? But then what happens if you have young parents, or not so young parents? Doesn't that also define your socio-cultural outlook? Looking at my friends, I have the youngest bunch of parents. I'm in my mid 20s, and neither parent has hit 50. Whereas most of my friends parents are in their 50s, or early 60s. That must be an impact....somehow. My cousins are all YEARS younger than me, even though there's only an 8 year gap b/w my mom and her youngest brother (and she has 3 brothers, and 3 sisters). My cousins have grown up with access to money and things we never had.
