The Myth of the Baby Tax Credit

I just got a job with a defense contractor who's paying me $240k/year. If I only work half the year ($120k income) my tax deductions (mortgage interest, charity, etc.) will take my income down well below $100k. And I have 3 kids too, so that's more deduction. So I'm seriously considering being a beach bumb for a few months to half the year just to stay in a lower tax bracket.

When Heidi is older and lying on her deathbed, she will have nobody to come visit her and comfort her. Nobody to take care of her.

And nobody to pay for her social security and medicare. Good luck living on nothing.

Culture of death really sucks, doesn't it?

you're lucky your parents didn't share the same bitter resentful outlook on bringing children into this world, otherwise you would have never been born. Your comments make me feel sad for you... maybe one day something or someone will bring joy to your life. The are plenty of ways to screw up your life, and kids are not one of them. however, you are on the right track because being so bitter at the world is the best way to go about having an awful life... And thank god you're choosing not bring any kids into this world becuase the last thing they would need is an angry parent like yourself. Happy tax day.

Smart Heidi, I feel sorry for you. You just don't get it. Enjoy your lonely meaningless life.

Sure, you shouldn't be having lots of kids if you're dirt poor, but having kids and the joy that comes with it is what life's all about. I earn about a median income, have two kids, and love them both dearly. My life would be empty without them. I plan on having more.

Fortunately for "smart Heidi", her parents understood didn't feel the way she does.

If you only think of finances when having children, you're missing the whole point.

Why would anyone want to add to this mess by having kids? You are only creating more slaves for the corporations to abuse and use up like they did to you? Talk about a way to screw up your life. Not to mention society owns you at that point. Have kids? You will loose your freedom for the rest of you unnatural life. People are so dumb! I knew at the age of four - yes four, that having kids is a losers game. Unless you have a farm or ranch you need extra help on. But if not - you are only supplying cheap labor for the ugly corporations that have owned this country for a very long time. Good luck, and don't breed!
