I thought this was very informative but none of it seemed to fit the reason why I'm always broke.

I'm a 65 year old male on social security of which every dime of it pays the rent to where I stay therefore I have to work a part time job to buy food, medicine and pay utilities. Thats only half the picture. I supplement my income as a freelance party/event and reception pianist which requires me to have to maintain a computer and a website to find leads for gigs. Where I go broke at is that the expense of maintaining security and computer maintainance, website maintenance and overall business expenses is being paid primarily out-of-pocket from my daily part time job. There's not enough paying gigs coming in to maintain my overall business expenses. The only option would be to shut down right? Well if I do I also shut down performing on the piano which is a lifelong gift since I was 6 years old. I might as well cut off both hands and not be able to play.

If I move into a senior bldg at a lower rent scale,I can't take the piano with me.

If I can't practice or play it amounts to the same thing....Im done playing for life!

I'm broke maintaining a love to create music since 6 years old. How do you give that up?
