Make saving a family affair???

I'm sure some of your readers are raising chickens not children.

"The vast majority of Americans have more money in their 401(k)s today than they did at the market peak in October 2007."

Did the columnist forget the important point she made in the second paragraph? It’s easy to improve upon a tiny number.

And as we all know, the vast majority of Americans don't even have a 401(k). They're too busy maxing out their credit cards to buy crap they don't need.

I'm VERY disappointed with this column. Another D-, I'm afraid.

One of my daughters moved out recently, she's 20, and she is already being careful with her money. As an earlier generation may have said, prudent.

I've always been that way, as my parents went through the Great Depression. I think this is really the silver lining from this recession. It's not wise to focus on instant gratification.

How about teaching Congress and the President how to save the People's money?

Stop the drunken spending with money that is not theirs!
