The goverment doesnt have a clue what is happening to real people. The only way get the middle class back is to put someone from the middle class into office and work for the people and not to put up with the big businesses bull S--- pay offs.

I think the government needs to do something About hhese oil prices people are straving to death because of itRichard Nixon put a freeze on gas why cant BUSH DO IT TO BEFORE OUR COUNTRY SHUTS DOWN; People in the white house dont have to worry about the price because they can affrod to buy it but people like me have to work for minium wages dont have a chance. When your paycheck goes for gas and then you dont have any left for food Much less for this high dollor medicine because we cant afforsd heath insurance.I think the government employes should have to walk in our shoes for one week and then they would see what poor people are,There is no middle class people any more yoou are either rich or poor it is as simple as that,In my opion i think its time for THE GOOD LORD TO COME BACK.I know our government means well but it does not feed our kida

It's quite obvious isn't it? Peak Oil happened last year, it will only get worse mush worse. I imagine in a few years the world will collapse and the dieoff will begin. Only those of us who get off the grid now will survive. Then of course we will then await for peak water. It's not the Govt. it's Peak Oil......Get off the grid!!!

In our consumer-driven economic system, where supply and demand sets the price of a product, what is wrong with the energy price ratio to consumption trend, which sees the demand dropping while the price continues to sky rocket? Enter a governmental regime that is playing the field to enhance their own political and economic pocket books. The Bush/Chaney regime ? What our "rulers" can do? Start with a Windfall Profits Tax" for those energy companies enjoying such record-breaking profits and make it retroactive for the past 5 years!
