Energy Chill Heats Up Pennsylvania Politics

Oil heat dealers are Dinosaurs. The US Energy department should buy them out while giving tax credits to convert to electric, gas and alternatives for home and commercial heating. And for electric generation. Oil should be used for transportation primarily. That would make available a lot of gas, jet fuel and diesel for car, plane, trucks and farming.

Oh Yes. Which party won't let us drill in ANWAR and off the Gulf, where China is drilling?

Remove the incentive for outside speculators to profit from the horrid situation of the amazing profiteering that is happening. I would advocate a progressive tax (say 95%) on speculators that buy and sell all energy products that are not physically taken at a point of sale. That would remove the movement of "paper barrels" of product that are responsible for this debacle. Not to be because of the OILMEN in the whitehouse syndrome that we are suffering from but a solution nontheless!
