McCain's Big (Government) Economic Idea

Much as I hate agreeing with John McCain, this reminds me of Margaret Thatcher's initiative to turn public housing tenants into homeowners. That created a vested interest in property rights among the class ripest for socialist political exploitation. This plan moves the focus from job losses to consumer benefits among those most prone to be exploited by anti-trade forces. If it builds a bigger pro-trade constituency and breaks the "get a job, lose all benefits" standard for unemployment insurance, it's worth some short term cost.

How could anyone in THIS Federal government EVER be considered tough on spending? EVER?

This fits into McCains plan perfectly as he is a flaming BIG ASS GOVERNMENT LIBERAL.

Ron Paul's even funnier: He puts earmarks into a bill then votes against

the bill because of earmarks.

I can only hope that John Mc Cain does not ever become president of the United States, oops sorry, the North American Union.

I was just wondering if after we become The North American Union that we can call each other Comrade? After all I am a fan of Orwell's Ninteen Eight Four!
