i'd like to add my own 'huh??' to the two others who are baffled by the "better late than never" comment.

additionally, i'd like to ask Mr. Pethokoukis, "Could you explain why, as a professional wordsmith, you chose those particular words to introduce your piece?"

eager to hear... aloha, ~c.

I have read this plan in full. And so far, in my opinion, it's better than the rest.

A huge amount of our money is leaving the country. The onetary system in place, cannot sustain itself much longer. Eventually, our domestic & global partners will soon treat us like the "brother-n-law who never pays us back.

This will save our country.

It's about time. I think the idea that the Federal Reserve should have to televise their meetings is exactly what we need. The only solution we are going to find, is going to have to come from an active public debate, and that is being thwarted by the clandestine operation of the Federal Reserve. It's time for less taxes, smaller government, reduced spending, and fiscally conservative economic policies.

This is is the best and most detailed plan brought forth by any of the candidates so far. It has actual details in it that makes some since for a change. Don't believe so? Just ask any financial analyst to look over his statement and give their opinion.

Ron Paul is no amateur.

He's done his homework. He knows the economy and agrees with the Constitution in the sense that less goverment restricitons and taxes will let the markets be more active and competitive.

Fred Thompson, Rudy Guilliani and Mike Huckabee frowned and giggled when Ron Paul stated that we should stop printing so much money. Well, they're not laughing now. Thompson dropped out, Rudy is hanging by a Florida string and now Huckabee has "borrowed" some of Paul's ideas by claiming "we need to stop printing so much money."

My oh my.

And of course, common sense wil dictate that we have got to slow down on all of this spending. We don't have to cut vital goverment programs if we can trim off the ones that simply aren't working.

Ron Paul deserves to be listened to. Not laughed at. Those who laugh at the old Doctor usually end up eating a slice of humilty cake.

Better late than never? You need a trip to the Library: www.ronpaullibrary.org - where he has been writing on these issues for 30 years! If only people had listened.... Of course now they don't even want to hear him debate (Fox News January 6th and ABC February 5th). Americans are "Fed Up!" with all of this media bias. And all U.S. News and World Reports can muster up is 17 words about it?

Ron Paul's economic stimulus plan is the first and only coherent proposal on the subject coming from our Congress. I strongly urge anyone who reads this to look into Ron Paul and consider supporting him for President, or at least contacting their Congressmen and Senators about his proposals.

Sounds good to me. The mess the government has got the economy in will not be fixed by yet more D/R government twits lowering interest rates again as thats what help push the economy over the edge, nor govt' presses printing up more sagging dollars, thus raising the price of everything. Ron Paul sure seems to know what he is talking about unlike the bunch of turkeys the press has picked for us.

It looks really good to me from here... Heck even I understand it. I'm glad to see someone has a plan.

Clay of AZ 4:56PM January 28, 2008

Finally someone who knows what needs to be done and has an actual plan. And it's workable! It's not the same ole, same ole of money stimulus failures. It's time to make and take tough decisions if this economy is to be saved. We don't need no sugar coating! It's time to take this bull by the horns. Let's Go America! Vote Ron Paul.
