>Now, you may not buy any of this, especially given Obama's rating as the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate.

Or you might question the rating suggesting Obama is the most liberal member of the US Senate in 2007. You might have the brains to look up the organization that claimed this, National Journal, and wonder why they claimed that John Kerry was the most liberal senator in 2003 (just as curious as Obama's ranking). You might wonder - HOW in the world could Obama be more liberal than Sanders? For that matter, why is Biden labeled more liberal than Sanders? And why is Ron Paul 178th most conservative member of the House?

You also might consider, if Obama is so liberal, why was he made president of Harvard Law Review (HLS is noted for partisanship) with approval from many conservatives. Why is he labeled as a pragmatist by largely conservative faculty at University of Chicago?

And lastly, after having eight years from a "compassionate conservative," you might wonder: maybe being liberal isn't so bad after all.

In one word, No...and he's no Goldwater either.

I love how all of the points for this theory start with "Yes, but."

There is no "yes, but." Obama is better aligned with Jimmy Carter. God help us.

Awww, old money got it too easyyy. Flaming liberals. Guess what old money does when you start slapping it around in the name of the poooor "underprivileged"? It goes elsewhere. Just as it does when you don't try to court the big corporation into your state with sweetheart tax deals.

And Bill Clinton made their money's escape easy while the so-called citizen can remain here.

You liberals are going to end up giving every job to India and China and then since that's not quite enough to kill us off, send them our stockholders as well.

Wheres a friggin Joe McCarthy when you NEED one??

Associating !!!Oh!!!Bama!!! with Reagan is disrepect for our dead hero's.

The way Michelle Obama urged the crowd in TX at a rally , calling not to work for corprate companies but do work for community organizations, I am done with Obama!

At least Hillary Clinton understands America runs by corprate business and capitalizm!

All Hillary wants is to apply social help for everyone like the Europeen countries, But Obama is a definite CHANGE FOR COMMUNISM!

I will vote for McCain

If Gorbachev was a CIA agent, Obama is working for Putin to change America to a Communist Country!

Hillary is a socialist like France, Canada, Germany!

PETER, OH of OH 11:21PM March 03, 2008

People were calling Hillary a socialist! Than Obama is a definite communist!

Michelle Obama just urged people today at a TX rally not to work for corprate , and do community wokr instead!

Clintons at least are coprate and understand business!

Obama will turn this country to Russia,

Hillary will turn it to France!!!

Republicans, Don't forget to vote for Hillary tomorrow in TX, OH, RI , VT

But cast your vote for John McCain in November!

Curt,

Obviously neither parties policy will serve us well...I would argue that the endgame of both is probably the same.

The dems will raise tax to cover their increased spending and balance the budget...this will suck more money out of the private sector...thus stifling the economy...which will then lead to overall less tax revenues...and this will lead to a budget deficit in the future...which they again will raise taxes to cover. The DEBT will never be addressed or paid off

The repubs will continue their spending at a deficit...less taxes will stimulate the economy and increase overall tax revenue..perhaps balancing the budget in the future..but not enough to cover the whole deficit as they and the dems will probably keep raising spending. The DEBT will also never be addressed.

The REAL problem here isn't really who we are going to tax or not...either way you can only suck out so much taxes before there isn't any more left and the whole house of cards collapses.

The REAL solution it to address the 3 trillion dollar budget the Fed govt has...it's absolutely outrageous and as long as we except this level of unsustainable spending the DEBT will NEVER be addressed.

What we need to do is radically cut ALL spending...say only allow a budget of 1.5 trillion(yes, that means entitlements but there is no other choice as these will kill us in the end...and that means people will have to accept tough choices and charities/churches will have to step up to the plate..EDR's point), FREEZE taxes at their current levels and use all surplus to pay off the national debt. Once that is paid off radically reduce taxes to a level to cover the 1.5 trillion debt........downsize the function of the Federal Govt and keep it there so they can't get us into this mess again.

Any other talk or finger pointing at either Party is really useless. There are both pushing us towards oblivion..one maybe faster than the other.

One fact is that our current spending levels including entitlements is just not sustainable.

FREEZE tax rates at the current level
