Obama: "Yes" to Higher Taxes, "Meh" to Spending Cuts

With a $10 TRILLION dollar US deficit, Obama can find more to cut than some defunct defense programs and simple purchasing choices! Is he serious about stopping wasteful government spending when Michelle Obama is ordering steamed lobsters and caviar at the Waldorf Astoria this past week (Rush Limbaugh talk radio)? Couldn't she have shown some frugality and ordered a burger? In addition to not cutting, he is proposing almost $300 Billion in new spending (see the National Taxpayers Union website)!! Obama is an expert at not answering direct questions, talking around issues, and saying what he expects people want to hear. He is a great orator, speaking with melody, cadence, and tone. He has good posture and studied body language. This is fine if we want to elect a stage-actor instead of the Chief Executive officer of the United States! He is against organized religion (see Obama's "Call to Renewal" address in June 2008 on www.barackobama.com)so he talks about infusing "faith" into society to get the votes from church-goers. He is pro-choice so instead of saying abortion is okay, he speaks about teaching kids restraint from their "cavalier" attitudes to get the conservative vote. Why couldn't he answer the proctor of the first debate what spending he would cut? Because he won't cut! Why didn't he answer Joe the Plumber when Joe asked if Obama was going to raise his taxes? Because he won't! Obama is looking for VOTES, so he talks-up minorities, offers tax breaks and increased Medicare and Social Security to baby-boomers, and gives more tax breas, tax credits, and expanded government programs to the lower classes. Why does this country insist on rewarding mediocrity? Of those of us who have a heterosexual marriage, beautiful children, have been WORKING our whole lives, paying our TAXES, and (hopefully) will find success, we are living the American Dream. Yet we constantly get PENALIZED by Democrats for living that dream!! And Michelle Obama has the nerve to say that when Obama was nominated, it was the "first time in her life" she was proud of her country?? Obama surrounded himself with a racist (Rev. Jeremiah Wright) and a terrorist (Bill Ayers) until he wanted to run for office! Once he was in the political spotlight, he disowned his friends! He speaks of the South Side of Chicago as if he were born and raised there; he lived in Hawaii, Indonesia, and New York, then went to Chicago for about 3 years before going to Boston for law school! He returned to Chicago after he formed political aspirations because in South Chicago he saw a lot of people who might vote for a dark-skinned Democrat who would promise them all kinds of free government programs funded by MY taxes!! I'm tired of people talking about Obama as a "new" face in Washington. You have fallen victim to his rhetoric; he's been in politics (in IL and Washington) for 12 years (www.barackobama.com) and he is the slickest politician I've seen since Hillary!

So i think that it is totally bogus that obama wants to raise the taxes on the poor and give the government more spending room. NO! this reminds me of the old days when they taxed the poor and not the rich, UH HELLO the rich are the ones that have money to spare the poor don't. in the united states we have the most poverty because the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. its insane to give the government more money and more freedom to spend, because they don't use our money to help us they use it for retarded things. the government is just a big fat money greedy power hungry monster. there was money taken away from the natural disaster account and put into the war account, so when Katrina happened we didn't have enough money to help them out. Obama needs to think real hard about the people in america that are suffering and not about the ones who aren't. if obama wins the election there is going to be more poverty than ever because the poor and the middle class aren't going to have enough money to pay taxes and the rich well they're rich they got money to spare. Think about it!!!

Bush has been a terrible president, but these two democrats wold be much worse. All the things you dislike about Bush, such as a rampant foreign policy, will be worse under the Democrats. Remember Clinton's meals-on-wheels foreign policy that saw us bombing civilians all over the world and committing troops to decades long occupations? Obama will be worse; he won't get out of Iraq, but he will send US troops and funds (nearly 1 trillion dollars currently proposed) into Africa, probably under UN authority (like under Clinton our military will be wearing blue helmets and taking orders from corrupt UN dictators). Domestically Obama and Clinton will, like Bush, further bloat the federal government with new initiatives that are supposed to help the poor (remember Bush's prescription drugs?) but instead merely rob the people of their property to line corporate interest pockets. So a vote for Clinton or Obama is a vote for Bush's third term.

There is a tremendous need to create more disillusionment with the federal government. In that regard Obama is the best poltician to happen in years.

He just might get us to a trend reversal in domestic policy, as Bush hopefully has with foreign policy.

So Obama's got an economic pastor as well ... his name is Rev. Dhimmi Carter. No wonder Matthews has a tingling in his leg.

"The only good thing Hillary ever said I quote "It takes a village to raise a child" which i totaly agree with."

The village better keep it's hands off my children.

"But being a child advocate won't get you into the white house."

That's right, because no body cares about the children. It's not like anyone would ever vote for something that they thought would benefit thier children. That would be absurd, right?

Did it ever occur to you that maybe most people don't consider what passes for 'child advocacy' to be actually good for the children?

"I had my say."

Yes, you did. And the sad thing is that you probably don't wish you could unsay it.

This man is such a light-weight....inarticulate to boot (guess the "great oratory" is written by someone else and put on the teleprompter). His response is riddled with "you knows" and no meat. Does he even understand basic theories of economics? Where's he been for 20 years that he doesn't know tax cuts PRODUCE revenue and hikes CUT revenues? Does he even realize that MOST Americans own stock, via pension plans or 401K's or own homes which appreciate, thus jacking up the cap gains rate will HURT the economy? Wow..what a maroon!

I don't think Barack has thought about the economy (or anything else?), I hope he isn't just stupid. I don't see how people can feel that he can lead our nation.

Sure, his minister is a racist, no wonder his wife is miserable. If you go to that church to get spiritually renewed, you don't come home with any spiritual renewal.

The scary thing is that his problem is not the minister, the problem is that Barack is not capable of leadership.
