"its the cumulative loss of jobs and the depressed wages."

Never mind the fact that over the past seven years, over 10 million jobs have been added and wages (compensation to be exact), has increased year after year.

Just buy a used car, a used anything such as a home, etc and pay no tax at all. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

i don't think taxes have the biggest impact. its the cumulative loss of jobs and the depressed wages. none of the tax proposals will fix those problems will correct that issue. to implement a national sales tax (aka fair tax) you will have to tax all products (services too!) and there will be no tax credits for any corporate spending. so while that may seem fair to the 2% of the people, the rest of us won't gain much. an example of this would be buying a 10K car (before taxes). federal taxes on that car would be $3300, and then add in the state taxes (plus fees). So I would expect that car sales (and any other) will shrink a lot. Take your electric bill. lets say its 100 (without taxes). now add 33 in federal sales taxes. plus all the other (state and local). and maybe its 150. the only good thing (and its not by design is that outsourcing of any kind will die off. since companies will have to pay taxes on those services as opposed to wages.

Our economy is on the ropes for many reasons, the main one being our tax policy on corporations, 2nd worst in the world. Our tax policy exports American jobs and imports everthing else from energy to food.

To fix the problem, we need to implement the FAIR TAX PLAN. That plan eliminates payroll taxes, corporate taxes, and filing of tax returns. It is revene neutral to the Federal Government and eliminates $240 billion dollars spent filling out income tax returns.

It taxes retail spending only. Those 12 million illegal citizens, the underground economy, and 50 milllion toursits per year will pay taxes under the Fair Tax Plan.

Work and savings are not taxed! Only spending! American export prices will drop 22% due to the hidden taxes on our exports. The Fair Tax will bring those American Jobs BACK HOME. Ask your congressman to support the Fair Tax Plan.

Check Fair.Tax.org website for more information.
