The Latest From Inside McCain HQ

I think one of the most unreliable indicators of the polls has been Obama running so many points ahead of Kerry, even in blue states. I just cannot see how he would do so, except perhaps in Illinois. I don't know what it is, but something is rotten in Denmark.

On the other hand, the polls all show McCain almost uniformly doing more poorly than Bush 2004. For that reason, alone, it seems hard to envision a McCain popular vote victory.

While this may be a divisive result for the country, I see a 2-3 percent popular vote victory for Obama, on the strength of huge margins in CA, IL and NY, but a narrow electoral vote victory for McCain, who ekes out victories in enough of the red and battleground states, including FL, to be elected.

Took a group of ladies out today to the local Cathedral. We said a rosary and heard mass praying for the LIFE candidate to win. John McCain. We had already participated in early voting, so we had the time today to pray. I feel like John McCain will win, but it is the power of prayer that will lurch him over the finish line.

Drink the kool-aid and dream on about a McCain victory. The GOP and McCain have run a dismal campaign based on fear and have no vision for the future. Both parties have played us and now we will get 'THE ONE' we deserve. Four years from now we all can make better choices.

If Obama wins, I think it will signify a permanent, subtle shift in America towards what could be called "Socialism Light", with an outright Marxist President Obama and an intensely liberal Congress setting the tone for the next thirty years.

The corrupt and arrogant Republican Party brought this on us all, even if a very great many of us don't deserve to be punished for the political foolishness of the majority.
