The Obama Discount Continues

November 6, 2008 RSS Feed Print

I felt that the reason stocks rallied so strongly on Election Day was a growing confidence among the Smart Money Crowed that McCain might pull it out. Certainly that was the message coming from campaign insiders. It was not to be. Indeed, some market watchers made the case that the reason stocks moved higher was due to an ancitipation of an Obama win. Well, stocks fell 500 yesterday and are down another 100 today. Hmmm. Maybe the Investor Class isn't counting on Obama postponing those tax hikes.

Well, i think this year alone did it for me. I lost so much in the stock market. I never lost money before. I really think Obama along with the house and senate will fix this problem. I t may not be today or next week, but it will get done. You got have faith and keep praying about. Everyone is feeling the loss.

Market has traacked Obama in polls and throughout debates. Every trader knows about taking some profits before a big report no matter how confident you are. Shorts covered on election eve and are back at work and making money. Bull markets started in 1982 and 2003 spurred by REAL tax cuts. There is no such good news right now.

And it begins.

BTW, how about the story out today that U.S. taxpayers may be paying the defense attorney fees for the mortgage company executives associate with the housing disaster? So taxpayers will pay for prosecution...AND defense?

Now, that's some change for us!
