Here is a nice reminder of unemployment during the Great Depression. But I am sure, of course, it would have been even worse without the New Deal. Happy days are here again! Surviving is not thriving ...

New deal reforms started in 33. In fact i think the FIRST bailout of the great depression happened in 1933, even though the stock market crashed in 1929. Why? Because people thought the market was going to sort everything out.

Read more Friedman. Less Shale. One is actually an economist, unlike you.

I like FDIC insurance. I like Social Security. I like the WPA projects, many of which are still in use. I like having an SEC. I like a boost for unionism.
