Michelle Malkin: Thanks But No Thanks on Stimulus

Obama’s prescription for economic pain will at most be useless in encouraging short-term growth, while ensuring anemic longer-term growth for the next decade (and beyond) at the expense of Obama’s kids and my kids and yours.The truly bold thing for Obama to do would be to tell the panic-mongers and boondoggle-seekers to shove it and to tell taxpayers to ride out the rest of the tough times while he got Washington’s own economic house in order. Instead, it’s more of the same old, same old mortgaging of our children’s future for the sake of present political crisis management.

After Obama and cohorts in Congress triple the deficit in 09 alone, Corn Flakes may be very valuable, and certainly expensive.

...you know you are right when liberals attack you personally instead of taking on your point.
The bottom line is Obama is in a unique place in history to take a stand against spending and let this recession ride out. But as Malkin adroitly says, it won't happen. He doesn't have the courage to do that, despite him being in a position to make it so.
