Let's face the facts.

Cap and Trade will not lower costs for anyone.

It is simply a revenue engine for governments

that don't even have a clue about economics,

other than to tax the everyday citizen as much

as possible to fund their private agenda.

They have finally figured out a way to...

Tax The Air That You Breathe!

Fight this with all you can...

I read a scientific paper revealing a very credible explanation for the temporary global warming we have recently experienced and it as nothing to do with CO2. It is due to the fact that cloud cover is proportional to the galactic cosmic ray flux reaching our atmosphere and that the Solar sunspot cycle affects that flux. More sunspots results in more Solar Wind and the Solar Wind reduces cosmic ray flux and there is less cloud cover and more heat. There is a record of sunspot number for hundreds of years and global temperature is affected primarily by sunspot density!

We need to worry about real pollution, not CO2. Why don't we cap something actually harmful?

this is not the right financial model to follow with any type of tax. Cap and Trade will rebound our economy giving money back to the consumer and small business owner that lowers their emissions and produces Blue Tags that other businesses buy to off set their CO2 emissions. Big business has an advertising budget and has to pay taxes, give them the financial medium to give them a deduction for buying carbon credits that incentives them, the small business owner now pays a lower utitlity bills for being Green and produce Blue Tags that become a source of residual income for them to achieve Net Zero Utilities. If everyone works together, the circle of money can start flowing again, the alternative is increase in fall of our world oil reserves that are already on a decline. Lets not wait till gas is up to $8.00 dollars a gallon to decide that cap and trade is a great program.

Thanks Reagan for the noting the link in your posting. It is a great resource. Here it is again http://tinyurl.com/klfut8 for those of you who have not see Reagan's posting.

I want to add something for everyone to consider. The success of H.R. 2454 was achieved only by a few votes. In its original form, this legislation was in excess of 1300 pages in length. Reports indicate that an additional 300+ pages were added as late as 4:00 a.m. on the morning of the vote. Here is my question: I wonder whether those voting had truly read the bill in its entirety prior to casting their vote? Surely, I think a bill of this magnitude would warrant a thorough reading and understanding of its contents.

Some things will happen as a result of H.R. 2454. We will see an increase in energy cost, whether it is electricity rates, gas costs, etc. Secondly, thousands upon thousands of manufacturing jobs will be eliminated. Neither of these two things will achieve anything but a disaster.

The passage of the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 will drive US jobs overseas. For a country already effected with sky rocketing unemployment, additional lose of jobs will be catastrophic to the economy. In order for businesses to survive, they will be forced to migrate to countries where there exist no cap and trade rules and where their products can be manufactured for a lower cost. You do have a voice in this matter! Let your Senators know that this type of legislation is not in the best interest of the American public. Visit http://tinyurl.com/klfut8.

Don't just sit there and think this bill is a bad idea.....do something about it! Call or write to your state representatives....Tell them you don't want to see a 25% increase in your energy bills....tell them you don't want to see any more jobs going to China OR India!
