Romney was the candidate that many of us Americans were not able to vote for this time because of the political infighting in the Republican party. McCain got his way and took his turn just as Dole did before, but to the same end as the elder statesman. While I think that we don't as a party honor our leaders as we should, that act should not conflict with our ability to move forward. Romney was the best candidate for the Republicans because he was able to detail his differences with the Dems. on policy and on ideas. We need a candidate who can voice intellectual differences with the populism that is substituting for conservativism in the arena of ideas. People criticised R. for not being emotional enough for his convictions, I say that that was his strength. I want conviction, but I also want someone who can verbalize an intellectual argument as to what is wrong with the current status. Many in the party are intimidated by R. What's to like? He's rich, smart, good looking, good hair and he knows his policies. I want the opportunity to vote for this man. Maybe we got spoiled by the abilities that Reagan had to bring people together and to articulate his policies. We can have both, it might take more than one person in the party who can carry those banners, but to settle for candidates who moderate everything they say to fit a static profile isn't working. Romney for president! Find some other Republicans who have the courage of convictions to back him up and to get some enthusiasm flowing into the veins of conservatives again. We need to get away from the beltway mentality that caused conservatives to jump away from their roots that Reagan so aptly planted. One man can't do it alone, but if the Repubs. can't back a candidate like Romney because he is Morman, then we deserve to lose.

Conservatives have been attacking Ann Coulter for her support of Romney and his flip-floppin on the Abortion. She can take it either ...

Vote or don't vote for Mitt Romney, but please at least try to understand where Mormons are coming from.

Mormons believe God and Jesus are separate beings. Acts 7:56 states "Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God." There are many other similar scriptures in the Bible.

Mormons also believe Jesus Christ has a resurrected body. The tomb was empty after three days and Christ showed himself physically to many people, including his disciples (who testified of his resurrection).

If you disagree with these views, I will support your right to do so. But, please, enough with the "Mormons are not Christian" nonsense.

Prefacing the 2002 Winter Olympics, the Salt Lake Olympic Committee was riddled with scandal and corruption so Governor Romney was called upon to restore integrity to the process and get the games 'back on the right track.’ Using his extraordinary talents and his expertise in assembling ‘the right team,’ he unraveled the sorted details, expelled the corruption and made the post 9/11 Winter Olympics a resounding success.

Mitt Romney has the talent, expertise and resume’ to lead the United States as her President. The man's integrity is only besmirched by petty details such as shooting a rifle occasionally made him an avid hunter and other trivial digs. In light of the current President’s choices and associations, Mitt Romney was the ‘real change’ America needed and still needs today.

I am quite certain that Mitt’s message to the American people, in these troubled times, would have been much like the 2002 Winter Olympics theme, ‘Light the Fire Within.’ President Obama would serve himself and the country well if he would consider the road laid-out by Governor Romney.

I really hate Huckabee. In my opinion, he is largely responsible for getting Obama elected. During the primary, he was using irrelevant ripe to undercut Romney and hand the nomination to McCain. Once the election campaign began, sure as anything, the Dems used McCain's experience in DC against him. Romney was the perfect candidate to run in 2008. He had no history in DC, he was a self-made multi millionaire; increasing a relatively meager inheritance to 100 million and he was an expert on the US economy.

Anyone who thinks Huckabee is smart, isn't. Huckabee is as dumb as a rock. He actually believes the earth is only 4000 years old and he says "God built a mudball with dinosaur bones in it and threw it into space". Real presidential material! He couldn't be a pimple on Mitt's butt!!! Do not mention his name in same sentence as Mr Romeys! Huckabee is an evil man.
