Why Do Apple and Nike Support Climate Change Legislation?

I imagine after the Chinese read the BBC article on global warming maybe not being the evil thing coming because of man they will slacken some of that protection that I assume impresses Friedman. Seems former Vice Pres. Gore has made some money on a lie. How many here knows how the earth is heated and what may just be a cycle that has turned rather chilly on the alarmist cap and trade people? What concerns me more is US News & World Report seemingly encouraging this evil corp stuff concerning cap and trade opposition. Hey, Pelosi just spent 200 or 300 dollars of our money on new jets for her and our other employees in DC to fly around in instead of taking commercial jets. If she does this I have to think she knows Gore is a bit full of it, too.

I was thinking this even before you wrote it. Apple and Nike pride themselves on being politically correct, "green," and all other things cool. If they were to come out against cap and trade it would ruin their "progressive" image.

I would suggest you read Thomas Friedman's "Flat, Hot, and Crowded". China is not nearly as bad as the previous poster implied. Indeed, they may beat the US in becoming truly "green".

Both Apple and Nike produce their products in countries with little to no environmental regulations. This is pure bull. If they truly wanted to help the environment then they would move all of their manufacturing facilities to nations with strict environmental laws and enforcement.
