Give it time Ladies and Gentlemen

The iphone and touch had all kinds of issues and glitches

including freezing and batteries life...

It took apple over a year to smooth thing out

Patience is a virtue

this phone has the capabilities of the best phones on the planet. Unfortunately the software sucks at best. It freezes, crashes and is generally super slow. You click something and it takes 2 or more seconds for the phone to respond.

When I touch something on my iPod touch (same as iPhone) it opens in less than a second. The iPhone is far more responsive. The storm, when it's behaving well is the slowest software I've ever used. Oh, also lots of friends have this phone and we are all way to familiar with the once or twice a day "pull the battery out to get it to work again" thing. Crazy, we have to hard boot the thing at least once per day. If the iPhone did this in its first generation, we would all still have motorola Razors!!!

This phone sucks and despite it's hardware and feature list that kills any phone on the planet, the software is horrible and a very careless attempt by RIM. This device is a beta release at best and should not have been released untill it can work for more than a day without needing a hard reset.

You are thinking about this the wrong way with costumer reviews. The reason that not too many people are thrilled with the Storm, is because the iPhone has already been introduced. That means that the public is already familiar with that kind of technology. The storm and the iPhone are alike in many ways. The iPhone hit big, because it was this new, advanced, very intelligent piece of technology that hadn't been seen before. Now that other phones are becoming similar to it, they aren't as exciting.

Another issue I encountered with my Storm after having it for only 2 days is last night the battery went completely dead so I plugged it in to charge. I plugged it out this morning, turned it on and it started going haywire doing all kind of weird stuff. I had to a hard reset to get it working again... Anyone else had this problem? I really love this phone but after reading alot of the posts, seems to me like this phone has the potential to have alot of issues.

I just love the "adult toy"! Once you master the controls, you are in for a maximum enjoyment in modern communication.

Yes, this is not everybody's phone...

If only there is a way to make sure it doesn't drop, an attachment like for the digital camera. I'd hate to drop this jewel!

Got my phone since the first day of release and I am very pleased with it. It is only getting better with every update. I see a lot of complains about speed on the storm but it in several areas the storm is quicker than the iphone hands down.

I have to say, I've used a couple iterations of the BB and I had suffered from iphone envy but I am loving my new Storm. The keypad takes a little adjustment but the navigation, gps, sound quality, I'm getting the hang of it. I'm very pleased with my new gadget.
