Circuit City's Exit a Loss for Consumers

Its not surprising to see this happen. When i go into Circuit City, Best Buy, etc.. prices are always way higher than if you buy the same thing online. Often i'll go into the store, check out a product, and then buy it from Amazon and save 25-50% .. I've been using this site to find some good deals online:

http://www.zingsale.com

It's a free service that tracks prices of products from online stores (like amazon) and sends you an email when the price drops.

its too bad. sometimes you want to go to a store to buy something. the online world uses these stores for us to look into, then buy from them with no overhead for a lower price. well where are you gonna shop when we put best buy out of business.

Circuit city deserves to die. They did not care about customers at all. . They had horrible customer service. Am really glad they are gone. Maybe this bad economy is going to do some good in getting certain businesses shut down.

Why lament the opportunity to pay LIST? I detest rebate crap and getting pounded for an extended warranty. Actually, I do not shop at either on of those places.

In my opinion, there were NEVER any deals at CIRCUIT CITY. The only items I ever saw with reduced prices were returned goods, opened boxes and defective merchandise. Their stagnant, overweight and unhelpful salesepeople only existed to rack up commissions. One Christmas, I bought an electronic translator. At the checkout counter I asked that it be gift-wrapped. They didn't know what gift-wrapping was! I'm glad they're out of business. Circuit City became a lousy buying environment. Best Buy is no better and Fry's is worse.
