BlackBerry Storm is Doing Fine Against Apple iPhone

I am planning to buy Storm but a bit apprehensive due to the vast negative response I have seen in most of the sites. I am however open to the fact that slickable screen is a new thing and one needs to get used to it. Most of the responses and reviews I have seen were posted 1 week to 1 month after the purchase and then also with 9530 the same case. But I havent seen any review by users say 6-7 months down the line usage of the phone.. I would appreciate if someone could update me on the performance by people who have used storm say for 6-7 months.

Thanks

It would appear that all manufacturers rush there product to market and fix it with service packs later. I can understand the commercial advantages of getting products to market and fix them later. Some manufacturers seam to be taking the piss. How long after you press the take photo buttom and a storm does it take the photo on my storm it was a nearly 2 seconds. Who on this planet can say that that product should have passed customer acceptance testing.

I must say in reading these posts one thing stands out, Apple users are truly zealots when it comes to apple products...in this case the Iphone. I used an Iphone for about a week and returned it, Push email was a JOKE! Nothing more.

And yes Its a nice phone and does some cool things...

But it is IN NO WAY comparable to a true business device.

I went from the treo 750, bb curve, bb bold, and now a Storm.

Is the storm PERFECT NO, my biggest complaint is the touchscreen wiggles i guess because of the whole clickable touchscreen. And honestly ive had and iphone and storm side by side and yes i hope the storm's OS will run as smoothly as and Iphone does. But if you wanna compare functionalty and I dont mean taking pretty pics of your cat. Then im sorry the Storm wins HANDS DOWN. The Iphone is a nice smartphone for dummies.

The iPhone is the only good thing apple has. Apple is hanging by a thread. It may be a pretty strong thread--but still just a thread. And if the poster above (Michael Murdock) thinks its a good thing that Apple is monopolizing the "gestures" then he has another thing coming. It is not helping the market OR the economy. The more competition out there--the lower the prices and the better the products.

Because unless you've licensed some of the touch gestures from Apple, you're infringing on a patent which they now own and well your touch device will soon fall victim to and have to be turned off. Imagine how many pissed off users you'll have.

Apple on the other hand will be sitting in the proverbial cat-bird seat :)

Who cares about the Storm. I barely notice a puff of cloud, much less a storm from RIM.

And I love my iPhone.

I bought the Storm a week ago and I had some reservations having the Pearl, Curve and most recently the Bold. I can tell you after a week of playing around and getting to learn the style of the Storm I can say I'm sold. The apps are slow between fading, but that's how it was designed. The screen is stunning, the click touching is very cool and the brick style is compact and meaty. My one and only concern is dust getting underneath the screen? I recently ordered the Invisible Skin for it, so I hope that may help a bit. Also, owing a iphone in the past I can say that BB is technically miles ahead of Apple, plus iphone doesn't have a removable battery, that's a big potential issue down the road. If you're torn and not sure if you should give the Storm a chance...try it, weather out the Storm, you will be glad you did. Updates and more apps to follow, this baby is just getting it's groove on.

I saw a video review of Black Berry Storm on cellphones84.com and was really impressed with the phone, and now i am very satisfied with my choice.

It only took ONE(1) quarter for Apple to completely obliterate ALL COMBINED BLACKBERRYS in sales. Get a grip folks. Your RIM phones SUCK !!

think we need to compare the storm with launch quarter for the iphone. also iphone was only available at apple stores/att stores storm was available via online vendors as well.

So basically what you are saying is; the bb storm failed to live up to its expectations and got its ass kicked by in its debuted by a phone that had already been out for six months. But nobody panic!!
