I really hope that its release is earlier than later. I have the same Palm Treo 700wx and I have cracked the screen and damaged the phone really bad. I don't want to spend money on a replacement phone. I am trying to hold out, but I dont know how much longer. I like the Palm Pro as well. I wish I could hold it and see format (width, lenth) of the phone and the weight. The Plam treos were nice but they were really heavy.

I am looking forward to the pre and I hope it lives up to all of the hype. I wish I had access to all these amazing mobile devices. One question.? Can any on of these mobile phone service providers (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint,etc...) really offer any of these companies mobile tech companies(Apple,RIM,or Palm) enough money to make them the exclusive suppliers of their devices. Wouldn't it make more sense to make them available on every carrier.?

Im thinking of getting one of these palm pre or iphone

which one would be better for me to buy? I think palm pre will be the new revolution of touchscreen phone. However, apple always wants to come with new stuffs like iphone 3G. Year after nxt generation iphone will give the phone industry big change. So..

should i wait for palm or nxt iphone....???

I think it's funny that people want the Palm Pre to be released early - just how full of bugs do you want it be just so it's released earlier than it's competition? If it's released too early then you'll just spend the next few months on the net moaning and groaning about how it didn't meet your expectations because there were so many bugs.

I hope it hits Best Buy in March or April...and I hope that I can afford it. It looks like a really sweet phone. I do like my Samsung Instinct, but I like the vids I've seen of the Palm Pre even better!

I agree the Palm better hit shelves by March or April if it really wants to make an impression. However I don't think we've been given the full specs on this thing just yet. Palm would be nuts to release the full & complete spec sheet on their new phone months before it even hit shelves, thus giving their competition that much time to try to match or beat their upcoming hardware. Memory is an easy one to hide and easy to fib about in pre-production...Palm has been saying it will ship with 8 GB but I think this is a cloak, and I'd lay bets the actual production model will come with 16 or 32 GB just to throw off the competition.

It will be here by March or early April.

I was in my Sprint store and the sales people are all saying it is the "iPhone Killer." That is their internal view and what they are telling people who ask. By June we will hear about the next iPhone and with Apple's advertising budgets vs Sprint's there will be an avalanche of press on the next iPhone.

The first thing my 25-year-old coworker asked was: "How much memory does it have?" What if Apple trumps it with 32 GB? That is about $10 more in memory now days.

Palm used to give status, that is what is making iPhone so strong, it is the thing to have. It will be hard enough to do that on Sprint in the first place it will be impossible when Apple blots out the sun with whatever it has next if Sprint and Palm wait til June.
