Make sure you purchase the ticket through a credit card. Most credit card companies hold back payment to at risk airlines in case of a bankruptcy. The credit card company policy on airline tickets would be a good place to check.

I have an expensive trip planned to Mexico in November thru Frontier airlines. I have trip Insurance, it does not cover if Frontier goes bankrupt is it possible they will? Any suggestions

Many people may not know it, but you can tell the airline that damaged your luggage or bag, about it within 24 hours. Sometimes they may give you a voucher, sometimes nothing, but may be worth a shot.
