Save Jeep, ditch the rest, although I do own a Chrysler 300 SRT8.
The rebadging should stop, its a real joke.

Chrysler created the minivan. It is by far the most flexible vehicle in the market, stodgy or not. Especially with the fold down seats. The current body design killed sales; it has killed the classy look of the product.

I for one would love to see Dodge And jeep merge. I love my Ram and the thought of a new FSJ pickup based on the ram would be a sales pitch many would swallow. Keep the Dodge car section dodge and the trucks and offroaders Jeep. The chrysler nameplate should be retired like the Plymouth.
All this with the Fiat talks could prove to be vital for this American motor company to stand on it's own once again.Ditch the compass and patriot, keep the wrangler and the grand.
Bring in a new line of J-trucks, rebadge the durango as a full size cherokee or wagoneer, jeeps with hemi's and cummin's, we do these swaps now, why not bring them out as stock options.

I would rather see Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep die off then rebadge Dodge Durango's and Rams as "Jeeps." Not to mention a Comanche! Chrysler already has too many sissy Jeeps such as the Compass, Patriot (simply Dodge Calibers) also the Grocery Getter Commander, and Liberty (now just a Dodge Nitro). Chrysler already killed off the proven Inline-Six, and the Proven XJ Cherokee. Chrysler had Jeep right when there was an XJ Cherokee, WJ Grand Cherokee, and TJ Wrangler as the Jeep lineup. They screwed it all up. And they all deserve to die. GM needs to be saved, Chrysler can go.

Does any body else recall the distinction of a Full Size Jeep? the character of the nose is similar to a Dodge Truck. I think combining the Jeep Name Plate on a 3/4 ton or even 1/2 ton truck would be and excellent brand direction.
I have often though about how powerful and ad campaign merging old with new would be. Oh wait that was already done recently.
By who?? Jeep. it's a brand name like Coke, Budweiser, Levi's ect.
i have owned 15 jeeps in my life. from full size trucks, wagoneers, Cherokees, a willys flat fender and a willys pickup CJ's Scramblers a patriot and even an old Jeepster comando

i am a proud owner of a 1999 XJ. thats the paltform name for the cherokee. that was chryslers biggest mistake in 2001. they killed off one of the most popular suvs. i know people who have over 250000 miles on the original motor. if they brought a cherokee back that was very simialar to the last one, you would have a lot of people interested in them. i love my jeep to death, i have abused it for the past 2 yrs, and it still keeps on going. i think it would be interesting to see jeep bring back a pick up like the comanchee. but it better not be anything like a dakota. one thing they neeed to do is kill off all the sissy jeeps. like the commander and compass. that my 2 cents

I am a proud owner of a 92 jeep Cherokee (A real Cherokee not a grand Cherokee) and I use it for what its made for. I think that if Chrystler reintroduced the Cherokee they would have that nice compact SUV that they need so badly that is still decent on Gas. While I think it would be great if they made only jeeps I do not want to see the people who drive those nice fancy plush cars now driving a jeep and thinking they can go anywhere.
Oh and by the way the people that said they have Cherokee's and listed the year as 2002 or higher YOU DO NOT have a Cherokee you have a Grand Cherokee.

I am a proud Jeep owner. It is truly a lifestyle car. Have two kids and a dog and never have an interest in owning a mini-van but would love to continue to own Jeeps. I know there have been quality issues in the past but we have purchased three new Jeeps since 2002 and have never had any problems with any of them. My husband has also owned a 1999 Jeep Cherokee, a 1993 Cherokee, and now a 2002 Cherokee, just for fun.
I kept hoping that Jeep would bring back the Grand Wagoneer but we all know really large cars aren't fairing so well these days. I hope they find a way to save my beloved brand...because unless you've owned one, "it's a Jeep thing, you just wouldn't understand."

Chrysler is stodgy? PT Cruizer Turbo 300C Hemi Dodge Challange Dodge Ram? Jeeps are cool they have a quality rep because alot of cherokee's are running well at 250,000 plus miles. The big problem is that most people who write about Chrysler made products have not driven or owned one for 10 to 20 years if ever. The ultimate stodgey car would be a Camry or a Corolla. Most people pay a $5000 premium for a Japanese car to avoid a $100-$200 repair bill once every 3 years it does not make sense. I do admit that GM cars are not durable and poorly made Chrysler and Ford are very good cars actually own these cars. My friend has a Camry and the water pump failed and the power window stopped working "Consumer Reports" told him he has a good car so he believes it......

When it comes to Chrysler or Jeep it will not matter if they have the same old bone-headed management. They have no clue. Those folks could not market its way out of a paper bag. They make the best products they have ever made but comsumers still think they are making K-Cars. In fact, when I sold K-Cars as a dealer, Chrysler sold nearly 3 million cars annually. Now they sell less than one million. It started with the Germans, the downfall, and it has not let up. Throw the bombs out. They hired the fellow that tanked Home Depot. What a joke!
