This has got to be the most irresponsible article I've read in a long time. I hope your liability insurance is paid up and/or you don't mind getting phone calls from the legal departments of these unfortunate 15. Just what, exactly, are you trying to achieve with these personal speculations? What good will come from it? What good will it do the consumer who now has one more reason not to purchase products from these companies "because they're going to go under anyway?" I can only hope this kind of completely irresponsible and amoral reporting doesn't leak into things I hold dear. I can just see the next headline in my church newsletter: "15 couples who will probably get a divorce in 2009!" Maybe true... but really, what good will it do?

I find this article incredibly irresponsible and borderline criminal. The media has to realize that they have a responsibility to report the news - not predict or create the news. It is articles like this that further erode confidence and can actually have a direct negative impact on these companies. These are peoples jobs and livelihoods that Mr. Newman is effecting. I personally feel that U.S. News and World report should be held accountable for negatively impacting our national economy. It is also no wonder that media outlets such as this are dying a slow death themselves.

I thought this was a good article. I would be interested in finding out similar information regarding companies that have moved Jobs to foreign countries (number of Jobs lost, communities affected, expected cost savings)

Thanks
