TERRI of CT -Look up Fat China, I guess eyesight goes first over there.

I currently live and work in China. Watching daily life here, and comparing it with daily life I'd experienced in the US, it's apparent to me why the US is in decline. People here, in general, are slim and agile; they are biking, walking and excersing at dawn in the parks, even the elderly. Students here are early to class, well prepared, for the most part respectful and eager to learn. Compare just these two areas of life to the US, and one can see the roots of its decline.

Topville's famous optimism that the American system has built in self correcting DNA has become less and less visible and hopes of an American renewal are fading.

You forgot to mention that America is first in crime among major industrial powers, and has the highest rate of illegal dug use, too. America's habit has all but turned Mexico into a state run by crime. Are prisons are literally filled to overflowing, and urban gangs rule the streets of many urban areas.

So I wonder when the media will "officially" change our status to DEPRESSION.

I just love the whoreds of those who keep saying "We'll bounce back, I dunno how, but we will".

1/3 OF U.S. MANUFACTURING LEFT THE COUNTRY BETWEEN 2000-2010. ONE THIRD! Is this thing on. TAP TAP TAP. Hello? I guess everyone is too busy watching American Idol. Anyways...

The real reason behind this little "recession" is due to the fact that THE MAJORITY OF THE U.S. AND THEIR OFF SPRING ARRIVED HERE IN THE LAST 30 YEARS FROM THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES. AT THE SAME TIME WE HAVE SENT ALL OF THE JOBS TO THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES. At the same time our fearless leaders have been shamelessly LOOTING the treasury while the Federal Reserve (a private company) has been inflating what isn't stolen to "pay off" the money that WAS STOLEN.

I know, I know, it's racist to talk about it. Anything that begins to touch on the TRUTH in any way shape or form is racist. Just watch some more MTV and the economy will eventually "bounce back". I don't know how but it will...

Anyone who can't see that this whole thing is being manipulated is blind. The Western world is on it's knees at the same time that the third world is "coming up" off of the floor. That Hitler guy was all in to takin' over the world n' stuff. That's what they taught me in my community college class. I sure am glad that there's nobody tryin' to take over the world now. You know, turn the ENTIRE PLANET into one big third world hell-on-earth just so they can be the ones who control it.

Just put Nazism in reverse for a second. Visualize EVERYTHING that the Nazis are so famous for doing and put it IN REVERSE. VIOLA! Welcome to 2011! ;)

It's foolish that we expect change by voting for new leadership within the existing political spectrum. Congresspeople are paid off by the usual suspects, oil companies, drug companies, big businesses, etc... Presidents hire up the same advisors that their predecessors had. There are no new ideas and that is why we stagnate. We are good people who exist in a state of powerless because we don't know what to do next and we don't have many options. We need big change and that's not going to come unless we sink deeper into the hole we're sliding into. Not before we hit rock bottom and the rats abandon the sinking ship.

Let's not forget the current political correct attitude, where any thing goes except for the truth! Our childrens lack of moral values that has been spurred on by the liberal agenda. Where we kill babies but save trees! Where moral absolutes are put aside and our history is rewritten by those who are educated but ignorant.

Everyone says we are in decline, i don't believe that, we cycle in a good time and bad time. The media over stresses these things which causes people to overstressed on these things. The economy will come back, maybe not now, but these reports by experts are never completely true, they can only predict the future on the expected events and not what will happen. Only 10, so what, did you say long it will be before they surpass us, and a lot of people think that it means that we will shrink because they grow, FALSE! The reason why poverty is high is because people from other countries have more government services and that's something we don't want do we? It is a great thing but we don't want the higher taxes. As for everything else that's just a statistic, stop scaring people by making it look like we will collapse

As an American citizen, it is quite sad to watch our great nation collapse so rapidly. Our values have changed from the collective good to a self-centered celebrity inspired narcissism. Too bad for the kids who are now born on this land to face a culture that is so drastically different from the one we know America from its glorious past. I look at the kids in their twenties and see a lost superficial generation who only expects handouts. It is not their fault that they have grasped mediocrity. It is us, the prior generation, that acquieced and allowed this clear rapid decline in our society to take hold.

BA of NY 11:15PM November 14, 2010

When you don't cultivate art and education. When you worship money and embrace mediocrity. When you peddle filth and confusion. When you blatantly dismiss the contributions of those who develop meaningful solutions. When you exclude innovators on the basis of color. When you refuse to fund projects the promote education and cultural enrichment. When you create new markets out of perversion. When you focus on women as opposed to father's family and children. Then you have the America of today. A matriarchal society build on greed and the worship of all that is corrupt and ill.
