Chuck of CA you live in your own world of your own imagination. In CA there are ten people out of work for every available job. If the underemployed go after those same jobs with greater vigor, they just take it away from another unemployed person. No, sorry, you haven't figured anything out because of your remarkable insights.

Here is the biggest problem with all these unemployment benefits.

This quote from the article says it all.

"I think it's improved because I'm exploring what I want to do. When I see postings for full-time jobs, something inside me says, 'No, don't do it.' I want to make sure I am making the right choice."

Jobs are out there but people don't take them. For various reasons, mainly because it doesn't pay as much as one is used to. Then they cry that there are no jobs out there.

Don"t be ashamed get on welfare as soon as possible, get food and medical. See a doctor as soon as possible and get relief from depression and the recession and depression. Get a prescription that makes you happy, better living through chemistry, there is no sense in letting the corporations and corrupt politicians finish you off. Find others like your self and start a co op, Groups of happy people, thanks to the welfare Doctors can and will start and have non profit organizations that will help where help is needed.Like the oil spill in the Gulf one day the mess will be cleaned up.And so will the mess that these type of corporations made of so many lives in America.Remember a politician represents a corporation or two, so be careful who you vote for!!!

Go ahead tell me I am at fault. No job in 9 months. Have to sell everything (purchase price $150000 [2 cars, watches, jewelry] for $50000. If I would have just not bought anything and saved I would have some money to put toward the mortgage. Now I am upside down on it and have to renegotiate terms. YOU ARE PAYING FOR MY FINANCIAL MISTAKE. Sorry. Just wanted to make you feel good at my expense...ur, our expense :).

Your wife "picks up temporary unemployment"?

I hope you meant temp. employment Richie Rich. Unemployment compensation is not "creative". It's a means to an end--- a paying job. We should all get used to the idea of part time jobs after we"retire". As long as we're able to be useful in society, we should contribute, and if a citizen doesn't have enough $, then they should get a paying job.

Yeah, that's it, why take that full time job since the government apparently sees fit to fund your stinking lifestyle with MY tax money. I work for a living, I recommend you consider doing the same instead of mooching of your friends and the taxpayers lady!!

I'm fed up with having to choose between transportation and shelter - read an article in the "truckcamping Magazine", online. Made me think, why do I need a permanant address? Why not get a good, used 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck, and put a camper on it? d really get much mail, so a p.o.box would work fine, or a mail drop, such as Mail Boxes Etc. Would actually cost less, even with paying for a camping slot, than my efficieny, AND actually has a better usable space and comfort level. That's what I'm aiming for now. Which also gives me far more flexibility in choices of WHERE to work.
