Why a Record Fine Is Good News for Toyota

Gee, Why is everyone ragging on Toyota? What is the big deal? Hey 50 yankees killed NO big deal. Hell they killed 3000 in Pearl Harbor and lobbed the heads off the P.O.W's in Batan. When you buy and drive the foreign cars be sure you drive your new Toyota to the UNEMPLOYMENT office. The profits from the car go to what company in what country? If the Detroit car companies had this problem they would be ready to pull the plug and sink them. Gee I find it ironic that the U.S. government put NASA in the U.S.A. to work to solve the electronics problems for a JAPANESE company. P. S That's why they lost the war! Dhu?

Seems like a better title to your story would be " Record fine is good news for the Government".....a 16.4 million dollar windfall ain't bad! Lets face it, if this fine is just "a slap on the wrist", then it accomplishes nothing. Doesn't help Toyota, who in the past has done a fine job of beating our U.S. made cars, and doesn't help compensate the victims and Toyota owners who have been afraid to drive their cars while waiting for a fix. So Hmmmmm who benefits?

This is a slap on the wrist. Can't you see that this bad press is hurting our American industry. Please don't buy in to this Toyota smear campaign. They have provided us better products when the Big Three didn't care. Check out http://www.weltbranding.com/blog/2010/03/toyota-an-american-success/ they get the story right.

For an interesting and funny story of a 17 year history of a 3-time Lexus owner, and his history with Toyota Motor Company (including gas pedal issues), you may want to read the article at: http://funks2.wordpress.com/category/toyota-recall/ Please enjoy. I wrote it.
