The democratic lead legislature over rode his veto.

Our Gov. promised not to raise taxes. AND says he hasn't. So how did our go up $112 per person???? No wonder everything is so high!!!

The US is one of the most taxed nations there is! Wheredoes it go?

How in the world are increases justified? Too much greed has kild us! Abe Lincoln was right! No outside entity will ever destroy us, we do it from within!! Then who will own us then? If people would live within their means, this country would never have half tha probs its got!!!

Would be interesting and helpful to see the current rank of these states as well as the increase. For example, Wisconsin already had a significant overall tax burden so ranking high on this table has more importance. Arizona just passed a sales tax increase that probably accounts for their position on this chart. I just don't think this story tells the whole story.

This is a very misleading article as it does not state who's taxes were raised and who's taxes were lowered. Was the person in Missouri making $20,000 a year have his or her payroll taxes lowered? I doubt it. This is a classic example of how people obfuscate the truth about tax policy.

Vermont's a Canadian territory. Didn't you know that? The 50th state is Iraqistan. Where's Iraqistan? That's where all our taxes are going.
